Thanks for visiting
My first experience with software development happened by chance in middle school after stumbling upon TI-BASIC, a BASIC-like language built into Texas Instruments graphing calculators. Scripting and automating through early education math classes helped show how much could be done with a calculator and a wiki.
The final semester before leaving for NC State University, I had the opportunity to take part in an online computer science class being offered by the county. This was my first experience with computer science as a topic and by the end I felt confident enough to pursue it professionally. And after two years of in-person classes and two years of COVID remote/hybrid classes, I graduated with a B.S. in Computer Science.
Right now, I enjoy practicing and reading about DevOps best practices, cloud native engineering, and homelab design and development. Outside of computers, I like to spend time reading, watching new shows and movies, running, and playing team sports like basketball, volleyball, and racquet sports.
